Day 1. Arrival at Sarria

The first step of this group Camino de Santiago programme is to get to Sarria, which you can do from Santiago de Compostela in the private transfer that we will provide for the group or on your own, if you prefer.

Sarria has become one of the most popular starting points of the modern French Way and the entire Camino de Santiago. Thousands of pilgrims start their journey here to reach Compostela by fulfilling the requirement of the last 100 km on foot. And we will be part of that tradition.

Once at the hotel, we will hold the first group meeting, to get to know each other, meet the guide who will accompany us throughout the adventure and talk about what we will face from the next day onwards.

Day 2. Stage Sarria - Portomarín | 22 km

This stage of the French Way does not disappoint either the first-time pilgrim or the experienced walker and is perfect for starting a Camino de Santiago in a group.

A route marked by beautiful landscapes of meadows and lush forests of oak and chestnut trees, which you will cross alongside local tracks, paths, medieval bridges, rustic footbridges and corridors. And small villages of houses scattered throughout the stage.

The end of the day will be in Portomarín, a town that has an amazing history to tell you.

Day 3. Stage Portomarín - Palas de Rei | 24,7 km

The third day of our Camino de Santiago in group will be marked by the presence of the Ligonde mountain range, which divides the section in two: first, a continuous ascent to the village of Ligonde and, then, a descent from there to Palas de Rei.

But if you are one of those who prefer to focus on gastronomy and take advantage of the afternoon to rest, there is no doubt that the cheese Protected Designation of Origin Arzúa-Ulloa and a good plate of traditional octopus á feira will delight your palate at the end of the stage.

Day 4. Stage Palas de Rei - Arzúa | 28,8 km

This stage of the Camino de Santiago from Sarria is known as "leg-breaker" for its constant ups and downs, and it is also one of the longest. But don't worry. Thousands of people do it every year without major problems.

In addition, it is a little longer than others, but in exchange it offers us the intermediate town of Melide, famous among the most experienced pilgrims for its octopus á feira served there and for its melindres.

The end of the day will find us in Arzúa, another of those villages with a great pilgrimage tradition.

Day 5. Stage Arzúa - O Pedrouzo | 19 km

New day of our Camino de Santiago in group from Sarria, marked by the presence of wonderful landscapes between forests and meadows that will accompany you during the stage. However, we are getting closer to Santiago, and that means that the stretches parallel to the road will have more traffic, and we will see a more humanised landscape.

At the end of the stage we will arrive at O Pedrouzo, a town that has grown in recent years in the heat of the Camino de Santiago itself, as you can see, and which offers a special hospitality to walkers.

Day 6. Stage O Pedrouzo - Santiago de Compostela | 19,1 km

Finally, the last stage of the French Way! This stage takes you to the Plaza del Obradoiro from where you can contemplate the impressive cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Many people end their Camino here.

Others, on the other hand, will continue on to Fisterra to contemplate the edge of the ancient world. Whatever your case, we are sure that this last stage will not leave you indifferent.

You will feel the first stirring of the heart on your arrival at Monte do Gozo, from where you will be able to see the towers of the cathedral just 5 km away. It doesn't matter where you're from, how far you've walked, or how many times you've walked the route: it continues to impress and create a mood of jubilation that will accompany you until you reach the tomb of the apostle.

Day 7. Santiago de Compostela and more

The last day of this group Camino de Santiago experience from Sarria is a tribute to your efforts. After a well-deserved and refreshing rest, you will have the whole day free to get to know the Holy City: its Cathedral and the rest of its monuments. If you wish, we can also help you with this. And, if you have time, we have some complementary activities that may be of interest.

How does it work?
the Camino de Santiago in a group?

Several times a year we offer the possibility of hiring group experiences, up to a maximum of 15 participants, for those individuals or couples who prefer to do the Camino in company of other pilgrims.

The method is similar to other services we offer: we take care of all the reservations of the most interesting accommodations, the transfer of luggage between lodgings, the contracting of the compulsory insurance, getting you a credential for your Camino stamps, etc.

But, in addition, in this group service the accommodation includes dinners (half board) and we put at your disposal an expert guide of the Camino. He/She knows not only the way, but also its secrets, and will make the experience much more than just burning kilometers in the direction of Compostela. You will also have a support vehicle and a guided tour of the city when you arrive in Santiago.

Dates and budget

In this form you can check the available dates and the price of the programme. And, if you want, you can book directly.

Don't miss out! The maximum number of people per group is 15.

Secured Payment

If you have any needs or preferences that you do not see in the form, we can create a tailor-made programme for you.

Charmin lodging

One of the aspects to which we pay most attention in this type of Camino de Santiago group programmes is the selection of accommodation. We do not rely on the number of stars, because this measure is ineffective in an essentially rural environment such as the Camino de Santiago. We base ourselves on our own experience, getting to know them one by one. That is why we know that they are of the utmost confidence.

In addition, we try to provide a variety of accommodations: from boutique hotels to restored manor houses, small charming guesthouses or rural houses whose value lies within the walls as well as outside.
