Camino de Santiago in group in 7 days

The last 100 km of the French Way,
with an expert guide and the company of other pilgrims.

The Stages

These are the stages of the French Way that we will walk in a group. Following in the footsteps of millions of pilgrims over more than a millennium.

The last 100 km of the Camino de Santiago

A journey always begins before the first day. And one like this, even more so.

Two weeks before the trip we will hold a virtual meeting with our team to review doubts, answer questions and give the latest advice, from what to pack in the backpack to how to get to the starting point in Sarria.

It will be a preparation session complementary to the preparatory guide that we will send you when you book. And there will be a little something at the end.

Sarria has become one of the most popular starting points of the modern French Way. Thousands of pilgrims start their journey here to reach Compostela by fulfilling the requirement of the last 100 km on foot. And we will be part of that tradition.

Once at the hotel, we will hold the first meeting of the group with a welcome cocktail and dinner. This will be a time to get to know each other, meet in person the guide who will accompany us throughout the adventure and talk about what we will face from the next day onwards.

  • Accommodation in Hotel Alfonso IX ****

This stage of the French Way does not disappoint either the first-time pilgrim or the experienced walker.

A stage marked by beautiful landscapes of meadows and lush forests of oak and chestnut trees, which you will cross along tracks, paths, medieval bridges, rustic footbridges and corridors. And small villages of houses scattered throughout the stage.

The end of the day will be in Portomarín, a town that has an amazing history to tell you.

  • Accommodation in the charming Spa Hotel Vistalegre,
  • Spa session included.

The third day will be marked by the presence of the Ligonde mountain range, which divides the section in two: first, a continuous ascent to the village of Ligonde, and then a descent from there to Palas de Rei.

But if you are one of those who prefer to focus on gastronomy and take advantage of the afternoon to rest, there is no doubt that the cheese Protected Designation of Origin Arzúa-Ulloa and a good plate of traditional octopus á feira will delight your palate at the end of the stage.

  • Accommodation in the new Hotel Trina 20 or the charming As Hortas Guesthouse.

This stage of the Camino de Santiago from Sarria is known as "leg-breaker" for its constant ups and downs, and it is also one of the longest. But don't worry. Thousands of people do it every year without major problems.

In addition, it is a little longer than others, but in exchange it offers us the intermediate town of Melide, famous among the most experienced pilgrims for its octopus á feira served there and for its melindres.

The end of the day will find us in Arzúa, another of those villages with a great pilgrimage tradition.

  • Accommodation in 1930 Boutique Hotel

Another day marked by the presence of marvellous landscapes between forests and meadows that will accompany you throughout the stage. However, we are approaching Santiago, and that means that the sections parallel to the road will have more traffic, and we will see a more humanised landscape.

At the end of the stage we will reach O Pedrouzo, a town that has grown in recent years in the heat of the Camino de Santiago itself, as you can see.

There we will take a vehicle to return to Arzúa and spend the night.

  • Accommodation in 1930 Boutique Hotel

Finally, the last stage of the French Way!

We will resume the Camino in O Pedrouzo with a quick transfer from our hotel.

This stage will take us to the Plaza del Obradoiro from where we will be able to contemplate the impressive cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

The first heart-pounding moment is when you reach the mythical Monte do Gozo, from where you can see the towers of the cathedral just 5 km away. It doesn't matter where you're from, how far you've walked, or how many times you've walked the route: it continues to impress and create a mood of jubilation that will accompany you until you reach the tomb of the apostle.

In the afternoon, we will have our guided tour with an official guide of the city. The aim is to get to know its secrets, beyond the cathedral and the fact of the pilgrimage. Perfect complement to complete the experience.

  • Accommodation in Hotel Virxe da Cerca ****

The last day of this Camino de Santiago from Sarria is a tribute to your efforts. After a well-deserved and refreshing rest, you will have the whole day free to discover the Holy City: its Cathedral and the rest of its monuments. If you wish, we can also help you with this. And, if you have time, we have some complementary activities that may be of interest.

How it is?

Several times a year we offer the possibility of hiring group experiences, up to a maximum of 15 participants, for those individuals or couples who prefer to do the Camino in company of other pilgrims.

The method is similar to other services we offer: we take care of all the reservations of the most interesting accommodations, the transfer of luggage between lodgings, the contracting of the compulsory insurance, getting you a credential for your Camino stamps, etc.

But, in addition, in this group service the accommodation includes dinners (half board) and we put at your disposal an expert guide of the Camino. He/She knows not only the way, but also its secrets, and will make the experience much more than just burning kilometers in the direction of Compostela. You will also have a support vehicle and a guided tour of the city when you arrive in Santiago.

A guide on the Camino
always with you

The best thing about this service is having an experienced Camino guide, ready to lead the group's walk, adapting the pace if necessary and giving support to each member.

He/She also will act as a guide to unravel the mysteries of each stage, its landscape, historical, artistic and cultural heritage. It is like walking with an open book.

In addition, the guide is complemented by an assistance vehicle service. Why? Because sometimes along the way you may suffer sprains and other minor injuries, or you may find yourself short of energy. In these cases, having a vehicle to take you to the end of the stage is essential to ensure that the rest of the group can continue their route, without anyone being left behind.

Charmin lodging

One of the aspects we pay most attention to is the selection of accommodations and lodgings. We do not use the number of stars based-system, because it is ineffective in an essentially rural environment such as the Camino de Santiago. We base our selection on our own experience, getting to know them one by one. That is why we know that they are of the utmost confidence.

In addition, we try to provide a variety of accommodations: from boutique hotels to restored manor houses, small charming guesthouses or rural houses whose value lies within the walls as well as outside.

How to book?

To book your place on this Camino in group you only have to contact us. You must choose the type of room you want (double or single) and one of the available dates. To complete the booking, you will have to pay 20% of the cost.
